Description
A native of Louisville, Russell brings deep business and real estate investment experience to his role at Kentucky Select Properties.
In 2012, Russell returned to Louisville after living in Washington, DC for 18 years. While he loved the nation’s capital, Louisville called him home once he and his wife started their family. Most recently, from 2010 to 2014, he founded and managed an investment research firm, supporting institutional investors with their evaluations of Boards of Directors and management teams. Prior to that company, from 2007 to 2010, he served in the public sector as a consultant and earlier as a Regional Administrator at the U.S. Small Business Administration. From 1999 to 2007, he worked in a variety of sales and executive education roles at CEB [NYSE: CEB], supporting sales leaders at Fortune 500 companies with their organizational transformation efforts.
After graduating from Kentucky Country Day, he moved to Washington to attend Georgetown University, where he graduated in 1998. He also took several accounting and finance classes at the University of Maryland University College.
A real estate investor for several years, he continues to invest in residential and commercial properties, both alone and with partners.
In addition to spending time with his wife, two children and dog, he enjoys reading, fly fishing, cooking (and smoking on the Big Green Egg), and tennis. He has been a licensed Amateur Radio operator since 1991.
